There are several ways to send your Prometheus data to your Grafana Cloud Prometheus metrics service. Visit our documentation to read more about each methodology.

2. Choose your platform
3. Download and install the binary for your OS
Run these commands to download and extract the agent binary file.
2. Deploy the agent to your cluster
Run this from a machine with kubectl access to your cluster. It creates the agent’s namespace, service account and DaemonSet.
4. Set the configuration
Click below to generate a Grafana.com API key with the MetricsPublisher role. This API key will appear as the password in the configuration below.
2. Add Grafana Cloud as a remote write target
Add this to your prometheus.yml and reload Prometheus. It keeps scraping and storing locally, and also sends a copy of every sample here.
Replace <API key> with a key that has the MetricsPublisher role.
Kubernetes Monitoring
The pre-built Kubernetes dashboards and rules have been installed but there is no data connected to the selected Grafana Cloud Prometheus data source. Add the Grafana Agent to your cluster by following the instructions below.
If you have multiple datasources, make sure you have the correct one selected.
The default scrape interval is set to 60s. Scrape intervals lower than 60s may result in increased costs (DPM > 1). To learn more, please see Active Series and DPM
Paste the following script into your shell and run it to create the metrics Agent ConfigMap
This ConfigMap configures the Grafana Agent StatefulSet to scrape the cadvisor, kubelet, and kube-state-metrics endpoints in your cluster. It also configures the Agent to collect Kubernetes events from your cluster’s control plane and ship these to your Cloud Loki instance. To learn more about configuring Grafana Agent, please see Configuration Reference from Grafana Agent docs.
Create Agent StatefulSet
Run the following command from your shell to install a Grafana Agent StatefulSet into the default Namespace of your Kubernetes cluster:
3. Check that data is flowing
Once the agent is running, the first metrics arrive within a minute or two.

Grafana ships with built in support for Graphite (of course!).
Grafana has an advanced Graphite query editor that lets you quickly navigate the metric space, add functions, change function parameters and much more. The editor can handle all types of graphite queries. It can even handle complex nested queries through the use of query references.
